Another dawn hike along Hellhole Canyon Trail just west of Borrego Springs. Wind seemed to pick up with each step pushing rainclouds into a quick drifting sea of heavy textures. I set up inches away from this teddy-bear cholla cactus, waiting for its needles to glow as sunrise light descended San Ysidro Mountain.
