There is a 17 mile loop within Monument Valley Tribal Park that takes you near the main sights and attractions of the park. This road is rough and the Visitor Center suggests one hires a guide to drive around. It is indeed rough and a SUV would be suggested, but by taking one's time and taking it easy on the road, there is the chance of soaking in and enjoying all the wonders Monument Valley has to offer.
