Geese fly through a lovely sunset in tones of golden yellow and purple. In the wetlands below the mountains, there are blackbirds in the grasses and reeds in the pond. This Oregon landscape was inspired by William L Finley National Wildlife Refuge, one of my favorite places to visit.

I have been painting most of my life. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful natural landscape of the wst coast...the woods, the ocean, the rolling hills, the native wildflowers and wildlife. Even the surreal tree branches in the Zen series are often taken from the gnarled old oak trees I see on my walks. Other inspirations include teapots (I love tea) and animals, especially cats.
